A former student at a Florida high school, armed with an AR-15, a gas mask, and multiple magazines of ammunition, opened fire on students and faculty on Wednesday afternoon, killing 17 and hospitalizing 14 others.
Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control advocacy group, counts Wednesday's shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida as the 18th school shooting in 2018.
