Council makes budget adjustments

The Wapakoneta City Council saw three new ordinances come before it at its first meeting of the month Monday night, one of which was a budget adjustment.

The first ordinance would authorize the director of service and safety to execute an agreement with the Moulton Township Trustees for furnishing ambulance service.

The second ordinance would expand the Wapakoneta Community Reinvestment Area and authorize the execution of a community reinvestment agreement with Pratt Paper, LLC.

The third ordinance makes adjustments to the annual appropriation.

City Auditor Wilbur Wells was on hand to explain that the changes were threefold: legal fees related to the Pratt Paper project, clearing of land and tree trimming.

The second and third ordinances were passed under suspended rules.

The Moulton agreement was passed on to a second reading.
