The library at your fingertrips

Did you know there’s an entire library of books in your pocket? I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s right there in your phone. All you have to do is know how to find it.

And the Auglaize County Libraries are here to help.

Through an organization called the Ohio Digital Library and several easily accessible apps, Auglaize County residents have the ability to access a huge inventory of digital books to read, and even listen to.

One of those apps, Libby, is available on iOS and Android, and has a unique local connection.

“That app was built from the ground up from developers from Ohio, strictly for Ohio,” Fred Miller Jr., the Information Technology Manager for the County Library system said. “There’s a total of about 440,000 different titles on there.”

Those titles range from novels, autobiographies, audio books, even movies.

To access that database, it’s really pretty simple.
